Deewar was a blockbuster movie of the year 1975.Deewar was directed by the famous director Yash Chopra. It’s a film of two brother’s arrogance.Today's audience often wonders to see Amitabh Bachchan’s esteem. He had neither a great physic nor a charming look and even one more important thing that he couldn’t dance well like modern day’s actor. In spite of those lacking, how can it be possible to hold the super stardom after 35 years. To know all these answer just go and rent Deewar.
Fact of the movie:
Anad Verma (Styen Kappu) who is the local mine union leader.Suddenly falls in a big fix when the owner of the mine wants him to do the job for their favor not the workers but Anad is very honest and for this reason he disagree with the owner proposal.Consequently the owner impelled Anand to choose his family, including two little sons and wife or worker’s demand.Hopelessly he decides to go with family.Incapable of accepting the public humiliation Anand leave the family. The most pathetic scene is the branded scene where Vijoy’s arm is branded with the words ‘MY FATHER IS A THIEF’.Sumitra Devi(Nirupa Roy) brings Vijoy(Amitabh) and Ravi (Shashi) to Bombay.Vijoy’s character is totally contrast to Ravi’s charcter.Vijoy is very serious, rude, angry, impious and on the other hand Ravi is calm, cool, religious. They also opt different career paths.Vijoy becomes a big name in the underworld and Sashi joints on Police department.Ravi is asked to arrest Vijoy. At the outset Vijay doesn’t wish to surrender but lastly he decides to capitulate himself. After his darling Anitha’s (Parveen Babi) death Vijay again snub to give up,he becomes very rude and murders Sawant,Anitha’s murderer. In the last scene Ravi shoots Vijay.
Watch out for:
Amitabh Bachchan. Gloriously rebellious, frightfully lonely and amazingly intense, his eyes seem to burn down everyone who crosses his path. Scenes in which Vijay's silent anguish abruptly transmutes to violent eruptions, literally burning up the screen with intensity, anger, brutality, vulnerability and gritty resolve. To the small but fiercely loyal group of Amitabh fans, Deewaar is and will always be his best performance. Finally, the leading man is an atheist (albeit superstitious). Not only that, one of the now-famous temple scenes has Amitabh clearly defiant and contemptuous towards God. Quite audacious steps, considering modern heroes are always shown to be terribly pious and god-fearing.
